On August 1st , we will begin a very significant water main replacement project. If you have been living in the Loveland Pass Village neighborhood for a winter or two, then you are aware that the water mains under the streets have leaked and been repaired numerous times. The old water mains are 60-70 years old from the original Loveland Pass Village Water District. These pipes are failing, and the Snake River Water District is committed to improving your water service.
Our engineers have analyzed the main water line distribution system in your neighborhood and determined that replacement is the best solution. In fact, it is our highest priority this summer. We have hired a local contractor, Stan Miller, Inc., to do the trenching and install new main lines. The project duration is estimated to be approximately 30-60 days. This project will include replacement of the SRWD water mains only, in Loveland Pass Village.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience that this project will cause. Our contractor will do everything possible to minimize the disruption. They will utilize temporary water lines during the time when your house is shut off from the old mains until the new permanent lines are operational. They will place notifications of any water outages in advance via door hangers. During this project, there will be some traffic impacts due to trenching and equipment.
Our Water Superintendent and his team will be coordinating with the contractor, and they will ensure that the proper line chlorination and bacteria testing is conducted throughout the project.
Our office staff will post any important information on this website in the Latest News section. We are also emailing notices to the customers in LPV.
We appreciate your patience during this important upgrade to your water system.
