Our constant goal is to provide you with a safe and dependable supply of drinking water. According to the EPA, all drinking water, including bottled water, may reasonably be expected to contain at least small amounts of some contaminants. The presence of contaminants does not necessarily indicate that the water poses a health risk. More information about contaminants and potential health effects can be obtained by calling the Environmental Protection Agency’s Safe Drinking Water Hotline (1-800-426-4791) or by visiting epa.gov/ground-water-and-drinking-water.
The report fulfills the right-to-know provisions in the 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act. It lists the contaminants that were detected in the water and any violations. The goal of a consumer confidence report is to teach customers what is in their drinking water, how the water was treated and where the water comes from. We encourage you to read the SRWD’s report and contact us with any questions.
